Working on Your Own:

  • Revisit the 5 potential curriculum standards you identified for your lesson plan
  • Check VA SOL Enhanced Scope and Sequence to see how other teachers have addressed some of the concepts. You can also put the SOL number in a google search to see what you might come up with.
  • For each lesson you explore, try to identify the learning activity types (using the taxonomy as a guide) embedded in the lesson. Consider additional possibilities of learning activities.
  • After practicing some with existing lessons, begin to think about how you might approach three of the five curriculum standards. Complete a Planning Guide sheet for each of the three lessons.
